Lamborghini has just released it’s all new V12 691 horsepower Aventador LP700-4.
Before, their LP640 had a 6.4 liter engine, which has the 640. THe new 700 moniker is confusing because it has a 6.5 liter engine. It probably is called the 700 because it has close to 700 horsepower.
The fuel efficiency has been improved by 20%, bringing to to 13.7 mpg, which is amazing for any Lamborghini, because tradtionally you’d be going to gas station every day. Now it’s like every day and a half.
The estimated 0-60 mph time is 2.8 seconds (or 2.9 seconds to 100km/h) which is amazing. The top speed stated is 217 mph.
It’s expected to cost around $370,000, which is a bargain compared to the Bugatti Veyron’s $1.3 million price tag.
With regards to horsepower, prestige, class, status, style, looks and overall driveability, nothing beats the BMW 335i Coupe for it’s price. You can typically get one for around $32k as of around March, 2011.
It comes with a 300 hp twin turbocharged engine, and has a great pull to it at the higher RPMs.
The “Project Eagle” development has finally been revealed as the Lotus Evora, proclaimed as the first mid-engined 4 seater in production that gives Lotus a step into a different and larger market.
