Test Drive of the 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Japan’s Car Top magazine was informed of Nissan’s secret test drive event held earlier this month at its Tochigi test track. An anonymous test driver said that there were 30 people (non media types of course) who test drove the GT-R, which was only available in a 7-speed automatic.

However, they did have a 6-speed manual that they say couldn’t pass emissions, so it wasn’t used for testing. The anonymous driver said that the GT-R felt like it had more than 450 hp as well as very stable suspension at high speeds (the limiter was removed). There was also mad props to the Brembo brakes, which is also a preferred brand of Mitsubishi’s Lancer Evolution.

The anonymous test driver also mentioned that it would be available in four colors: silver, gunmetal gray, black and white. I think it’s a smart choice to only offer the most popular colors.

The driver also gave a glimpse of what the rear will look like (below).

I like to have this kind car. It is good for racing and I like the way Nissan designed this car. Hope I can afford to buy this car.
