The Legendary Japanese Sports Cars (pt. 4): Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX

posted in Japanese Sports Cars |

This car is a modern legend, easily distinguishable by sports car enthusiasts.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX

The reason is simple: It is a rally inspired race car for the street. Even with it’s small 2.0 liter engine, it still manages to crank out 286 bhp.  Since it is easy to mod, it’s easy to put super cars to shame.

It has superb handling, and while it doesn’t woo girls with it’s look, it has a fierce persona.

The concessions it makes is in it’s interior. It’s a cheap looking and uncomfortable interior, but with so much car for so little money it’s worth it.

It’s a heavy and big car, though. Don’t the newer ones have vortex generations to help the aerodynamics? What year is the car in your pictures?

Mitsubishi is a nice manufacturer, they keep the conservative design best quality and great performance, sure the price should be a little smaller :) but anyway peoples like to overpay good brands
