Why cross drilled and slotted rotors?
posted in Tips |
Cross drilled and slotted rotors help with heat dissipation when you’re racing. For everyday street use, they wear out the pads faster, don’t help with ventilation all that much and lower brake force (because there is less surface area due to the holes cut for ventilation.
If you’re racing, they’re great. For every day street use, it’s much better just to get regular rotors because they’ll last longer.
